Meet Brandon & Julia
Brandon Martel
Brandon is the Youth Pastor and Comms Director at a Church in Sudbury Ontario. He has been in this role since 2019 and is passionate about Pastors and church leaders leading their congregations well. He has a BBA/MBA from Laurentian University and a Masters of Theological Studies from Tyndale University.
He strives to improve and keep current all of the ministries he is a part of so that the youth, adults, and families can grow healthy spiritual lives and relationships.
His passion for reading has turned into Ministry On The Page, an Instagram and Blog where he reviews books, offers advice, and gives resources for busy Pastors looking to learn more and be more intentional with integrating psychology and other research into how they prepare environments and pursue relationships with kids, youth, and adults.
Julia Martel
Julia Martel is the Children’s Pastor and Young Adults Director at a Church in Sudbury Ontario. She has been in the role since 2021. She has a Diploma in Digital Photography, BA in French as a Second Language and a Masters of Theological Studies.
She wants to see families thrive. For parents to lead confidently and kindly, for children to grow up well, and for the home to be the primary place of discipleship.
Her passion for photography led to her starting Adventures Amidst Chaos in 2017. She posted her adventures through living abroad, working in a French daycare, volunteering in kids & tech ministry roles, heading back to University and then what it was like to move into vocational ministry. Her account is now focused on encouraging women who work or volunteer in ministry to grow in their relationships with God, serve people well, and be enjoy their lives.
Together they are PB&J
They work in ministry and are building a life together. They share an office, a car, a rabbit, two cats, a cute house with lot’s of renos, a love for reading and a desire to know the Lord. In their spare time they volunteer on local non-profit/charity boards of directors. As well as consult on website, social media and database management for non-profits with small to no budgets.
